Sunday at 11:00 am
Good morning! Let's talk some fantasy football!
Gabe
Sunday at 11:14 am
What’s up KC!!! Mike Evans or Emmanuel Sanders?
Kevin
Sunday at 11:14 am
Morning KC, With Evans questionable, I have to use Renfro or Robbie Anderson. I know you have RA higher but it's a juicy match up for Renfro. Do I risk a dud by playing Renfro?
Mikey
Sunday at 11:15 am
Morning KC, thoughts on L.Fournette making his debut with TB in his hometown vs division rival Saints? Can you see him scoring a TD? And being a solid flex option?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:15 am
Gabe! Happy kickoff Sunday to you! Would go Sanders given that Evans is reportedly going to be on a pitch count (and because there is still a chance that he will not play in this contest.
Kevin
Sunday at 11:16 am
At Flex in a 1 ppr league I can play Mack or Gronk. It seems you have Gronk a lot higher than Mack. Why is that? Thank You
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:17 am
Kevin, Renfrow was one of the tougher rankings of the week, as that 90 matchup points total is incredibly favorable and he is the veteran WR on a corps led by rookies. Anderson only rates a couple of points higher and it wouldn't have taken much to rate Renfrow over him, so it wouldn't be a stretch to start Renfrow because of that.
Kevin
Sunday at 11:18 am
1 or 2 quick ways or tips to use the charts in Daily Fantasy please?
Mikey
Sunday at 11:18 am
Thoughts on Marlon Mack this week? Would u start him over Fournette?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:18 am
Mikey, it would not be any kind of surprise to see Fournette being used as a goal line back. He'll be TD dependent given how new he is to that offense (they won't dare put him out there on passing plays and risk getting Brady hit), but I'd say the odds of a TD are at least 50/50.
Mikey
Sunday at 11:20 am
Whether M.Evans plays or not? Would u start or Flex R.Gronkowski vs NO?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:20 am
Kevin, I've got Gronk rated so high because I think Brady will lead the league in pass attempts at or inside the 10-yard line and Gronk will be a primary beneficiary of that. Mack was a tough call this week because it isn't clear if the Colts will go pure platoon or lean on Taylor.
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:22 am
For daily fantasy, one suggestion would to be aim for undervalued players with high upside grades and/or very high matchup points totals. Definitely want to lean on those areas to find hidden gems.
Mikey
Sunday at 11:23 am
Do u think LAC Rookie LB Kenneth Murray and Was Rookie DE Chase Young are solid IDP plays?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:23 am
Mikey, Mack has a very favorable matchup against the Jaguars so he would be the suggestion. Gronk is a very strong flex option, so his status simply depends on who else is available at flex.
Kevin
Sunday at 11:24 am
Even though Brady gets the ball out quick aren't you worried about the Saints rush causing Tom to play on his back today?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:25 am
Mikey, I'm starting Chase Young in the Football Diehards inaugural dynasty league, so he'd definitely be a good IDP play against an Eagles O line that could struggle due to injuries. Not quite as sold on a rookie LB, but his tackling ability can make for a good start.
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:26 am
Kevin, I did pick NO to win that contest in my Pickwatch selections and even moved the confidence level up to a "3" because of the Evans injury. Having said that, the Saints aren't likely to shut down one of the most talented offenses in the league so Brady and company still make for very good fantasy start selections in most cases.
Mikey
Sunday at 11:26 am
Thoughts on N.Fant? Would u flex him or E.Sanders?
Mikey
Sunday at 11:29 am
Do you like Ari Rookie LB/S Isaiah Simmons?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:29 am
Mikey, Sanders is probably more central to his offense than Fant is to his. Fant's not a bad play by any stretch, but the potential for the TB-NO game to turn into a fireworks matchup makes Sanders a more appealing start option.
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:30 am
Mikey, I big time like Simmons. Had him targeted for drafting in that Diehards league and got snaked a few picks before.
Mikey
Sunday at 11:32 am
Are the LA Rams and Ari Solid plays this week for my Team D?
GP
Sunday at 11:32 am
1 Flex spot--- Full PPR -- 3 Questions: 1. Which Player has highest ceiling? 2. Which Player has highest upside? 3. Which player would you start this week? a. AJ Brown; b. Marlon Mack; c. Phillip Lindsay; d. Rob Gronkowski
Mikey
Sunday at 11:35 am
If AJ Green can stay healthy and with having a solid Wr opposite him in Boyd to help take coverage away from him. Can you see Green making his way back into being a top WR ?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:35 am
GP, I'd rate Gronk highest in all three cases. It may be that I have too much confidence in him and that offense, but Brady is apt to lead the league in passes at or inside the 10-yard line and Gronk could see 10-20 of those throws this year.
Kevin
Sunday at 11:36 am
If a QB has average upside and mu points, would a high fireworks grade be a good gauge to use that QB?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:36 am
Mikey, I like the Rams as a solid, low-level D/ST start but would not recommend Arizona. Green is already a good flex option right now and will start to rate higher once he proves he's shaken off the rust.
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:37 am
Kevin, the fireworks grades do factor into the overall grade, but if one is looking for upside options that is a great tool to utilize.
Kevin
Sunday at 11:37 am
Last question was for Daily.
Mikey
Sunday at 11:38 am
Thoughts on Jax RB James Robinson? Worth a gamble?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:41 am
Kevin, yeah, figured that was for daily. Between fireworks grades, upside grades, and matchup grades, there are a lot of elements that can lead to high daily fantasy points totals.
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:42 am
I may at some point add the daily fantasy rankings back into the start-sit service. Just have to see how things pan out this year (don't want to over commit).
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:43 am
Mikey, there is a very good chance that Robinson ends up as a lead back or bell cow in the short term. He would rate a lot higher this week were it not for a brutal matchup, but over the next month Robinson is a good roster stash given the upside potential.
Kevin
Sunday at 11:44 am
On a side note the charts came in 1 Zip file today. Is that the way Sunday charts will be delivered going forward?
Lou
Sunday at 11:44 am
Melvin Gordon or Boston Scott? Gordon feels riskier given an unknown timeshare with Phillip Lindsay
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:46 am
Kevin, the files will be delivered in the zip format, as it contains both Excel and PDF files.
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:47 am
Kevin, if you need them sent in another format, just say the word and I'll arrange to have a separate email sent in that format.
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:49 am
Lou, I've got Gordon rated a bit higher because the Eagles have had so much movement on their O line and will have a right tackle battling his way to start through an ankle injury. There is a chance Philadelphia won't get consistent run blocking because of this and that could hurt Scott's chances.
Lou
Sunday at 11:52 am
Thanks KC - is that still the case in PPR too - seems like Scott could get targeted quite a bit in the pass game given the O line injuries
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:54 am
Lou, Scott does have a much higher matchup points total than Gordon, so there is that chance. The start-sit charts still do have Gordon rated higher in part because this looks like a trap game for the Titans (I almost picked Denver to win that one) and the expectation is Gordon will be the lead back in that backfield.
Lou
Sunday at 11:57 am
Thanks for the help - I’m a Philly fan so it’s hard for me to be as objective as I need to be haha
Mikey
Sunday at 11:58 am
Do u like the LA Chargers D vs Cin Matchup this weekend?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 11:59 am
Totally understand, Lou! Tough to be objective in a season opening divisional matchup.
Kevin
Sunday at 12:16 pm
What's the next new thing you are working on for TFS? Slot on Sirius?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 12:19 pm
I should be on a variety of channels on Sirius XM this year. Nothing set in stone, but having standing invites to appear on shows at various times. Will be doing some Paydirt video/audio podcasts starting this week. Got a couple of other elements in the works, but it all depends on how the early season progresses, as this is a new setup this year and I want to get my footing down before taking any more big steps.
Kevin
Sunday at 12:25 pm
What is your routine on Sundays? Do you get to really watch the games instead of having to break them down as they progress?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 12:29 pm
I have four TVs connected to toggle switches so I can bounce between games and keep up on all of the contests. I then break down game tape during the week.
Kevin
Sunday at 12:31 pm
Sad day in Massachusetts. I am more interested in watching the Tampa game with Brady than the New England game. He had quite the impact here. A new era for the Patriots
KC Joyner
Sunday at 12:32 pm
It is surreal to see Brady in another team's uniform. Just have to get fired up for Cam :-)
Mikey
Sunday at 12:40 pm
Will Chase Young be facing LT J.Peters or RT L.Johnsons injury replacement this week? If he is facing the RT more should I start him over I.Simmons at Flex?
KC Joyner
Sunday at 12:42 pm
Mikey, tacklers are always the percentage plays, so Simmons rates as the percentage option, but Young has huge upside potential against that banged up Eagles O line.
