TFS post free agency/NFL draft fantasy football TE rankings
May 21, 2020
Hello again! I spent the past few days putting together a set of post free agency/NFL draft fantasy football rankings. They are based on the long-time TFS 1-100 ranking system where the following setup applies:
90-100 - Elite player (blue-rated)
80-90 - Strong starter (green-rated)
70-80 - Solid backup (yellow-rated)
60-70 - Deep bench player (orange-rated)
Less than 60 - Avoid in all but the deepest of leagues (red-rated)
The system also uses the TFS system that includes overall grade, upside grade (a player's projected fantasy ceiling if all goes well), and downside grade (a players' projected fantasy floor if all goes poorly).
I will be providing more details on these rankings in the near future, but one item of note is that there are 11 tight ends with an 80 or higher overall grade in non-PPR leagues. To be fair, five of those players have solid backup downside grades, but the overall take here is that there may be a greater collection of TE talent than there has been at this position in a while, so there will be a larger than usual spectrum of draft opportunities here.
